Three Passengers Arrested for Disrupting Air Peace London-Lagos flight

Three passengers were arrested at Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Wednesday after exhibiting disruptive behaviour on an Air Peace flight from London.

The incident, which occurred on February 12, 2025, involved two passengers who allegedly moved from Economy to Business Class without authorization and a third who joined them in consuming alcohol and creating a disturbance.

The passengers, Adedigba Adewale and Ashibogu Magnus are accused of ignoring repeated requests from the flight crew to return to their assigned seats.

They allegedly bullied their way into the business class cabin.

A third individual, Iwonze Benjamin, then joined the pair, and all three allegedly consumed a bottle of rum they had brought onboard, further contributing to the disruptive behavior.

The unruly conduct raised safety concerns among passengers and crew, prompting the captain to leave the cockpit to assess the situation.

The flight crew notified Nigerian security agencies in advance of the plane’s arrival and upon landing, law enforcement officials apprehended the three individuals.

Air Peace released a statement reiterating its commitment to passenger safety and adherence to global aviation standards.

The airline emphasized that disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and commended its crew for their professionalism in handling the situation.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident and are expected to pursue appropriate legal action.
