Tinubu Charges Muslims To Sustain Lessons of Ramadan

President Bola Tinubu has urged Muslim faithful to sustain the virtues of love, charity, holiness, empathy and perseverance that the month of Ramadan teaches.

He made the plea while observing the Eid-fitri prayers at Dodan Barracks prayer ground in Ikoyi, Lagos.

President Tinubu said that the lessons learnt during the Ramadan fast should not be discarded by Muslim faithful as they were expected to continue to pray for the nation and live in peace with others irrespective of their religious beliefs.

He also called on Nigerians to continue to support government in its quest to reposition the country for the better.

President Tinubu appealed to Nigerians to always demonstrate love towards one another in order to promote peaceful co-existence in the country.

On his part, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hazmat called on Muslim Faithful to sustain the spirit of charity which the month of Ramadan preaches by giving to the poor and needy.

He stressed that although this year’s Ramadan fast is over, Muslim faithful should not desist from showing love and care to people around them particularly, the less privileged.

He also advised Muslims in the country to always exhibit religious tolerance at all times in order to maintain peace in the country.

The Grand Chief Imam of Lagos State, Sheikh Sulaimon Abu-Nollah who took out time to pray for Nigerian leaders urged governments to continue to look into means of alleviating poverty in the country .
