The Presidency has dismissed concerns about President Bola Tinubu’s health, affirming that he is hale and hearty and is proceeding with his state visit to Türkiye as scheduled.
The clarification was made by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Mr Sunday Dare, in a post on his verified X (formerly Twitter) handle.According to Dare, President Tinubu moved from the ceremonial welcome in Ankara directly into his scheduled bilateral engagements with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and other senior government officials.
The Presidency explained that following the stately reception, the President commenced a series of high-level meetings aimed at strengthening diplomatic relations and expanding cooperation between Nigeria and Türkiye.
The discussions are expected to focus on strategic sectors of mutual interest, including trade, investment, security cooperation and economic development.
The state visit, the Presidency noted, reflects the long-standing developmental ties between Nigeria and Türkiye and underscores Nigeria’s renewed diplomatic engagement under the Tinubu administration.
President Tinubu’s visit is part of broader efforts to reposition Nigeria’s foreign relations and attract strategic partnerships that support national development goals.
The Presidency reassured Nigerians that the President remains fully engaged in his official duties throughout the visit.
