The Nigerian Army Finance Corps has pulled out ten of its retired senior officers, seven Major Generals, with two Corps Commanders and three brigadier Generals, marking the end of an era in a colourful ceremony at the Nigerian Army School of Signals, Apapa, Lagos.

The affected officers who were mainly Major Generals include Major General KI Yusuf, Major General AA Fayemiwo, Major General J Mohammed, Major General RN Ochei, Major General MO Ihanuwaze ,Major General M Galadima, Major General SA Gumel, Brigadier General EA Obona,Brigadier AS Maikano and Brigadier General MK Baba Mallam.
In his valedictory message the special guest of honour Major General Kamal Yusuf said the military’s unwavering commitment to tradition remained the backbone of it’s discipline, ethos and enduring identity.

Major General Yusuf affirmed that retirement though inevitable was a moment of reflection filled with pride, gratitude and fulfilment,and remembered years marked with sacrifice, long nights and demanding assignments , stressing that those experiences shaped the officers and prepared them for the task entrusted to them.
He urged Serving officers to sustain the legacy, uphold discipline, professionalism and excellence stressing that commanders across formation would continue to depend on the corps for sound financial counsel critical to operational success .

Senior officers both serving and retired , Captains of industries , traditional rulers , family and well wishers attended the event.
