Tribunal Victory: Sanwo-Olu invites Jandor, Vivour, to join his government

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has invited his opponents in the last gubernatorial election, Olajide Adeniran, also known as Jandor of the Peoples Democratic Party, and the candidate of the Labour Party, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, to join him in building a better Lagos State.

Reacting to the judgment of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal which was in his favour and his party, the All Progressives Congress, Governor Sanwo-Olu said the victory at the court was for everyone who participated in the electoral process as the legal challenge would only strengthen the democratic process.

The governor, who addressed State House correspondent after the tribunal’s judgment on Monday night at the Lagos House, Ikeja, said the challenges in the State were real and the opportunities were also boundless.

“All of us in the journey of a political trajectory like this, there are no winners, there are no losers. I still want to give the opportunity that I give an opportunity that we did in the night in which we were declared winners to all of the candidates that contested with us that if they feel the passion that we have and if they feel truly committed to serve, we could still sit with them and see in what way they want to serve the state. The state is big, the challenges are real, and the opportunities are boundless. There is room for everyone to contribute in one form or the other.”

Governor Sanwo-Olu thanked Lagos residents for the confidence they had in him which the tribunal had affirmed.
