The United States and the United Kingdom are set to sign a landmark agreement aimed at accelerating nuclear power development, creating jobs, and strengthening Britain’s energy security.
The deal is expected to be finalized during U.S. President Donald Trump’s state visit this week, with both governments optimistic it will attract billions in private investment.
U.K. Prime Minister, Mr. Keir Starmer, described the partnership as the beginning of a “golden age of nuclear” that will position both nations at the forefront of global innovation.
He noted that expanding nuclear energy capacity would help lower household energy bills, create thousands of jobs, enhance energy independence, and contribute to tackling climate change.
