Use PIDCARMS for seamless operations at the ports – NAFDAC.

In another development , the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control, NAFDAC, had for the first time awarded best performing clients in four categories as winners from the nominees whose performance were outstanding and had supported NAFDAC in its effort at achieving it’s set goals.

Certificates of participation were alo given to each of the one hundred and fifty (150) top priority clients who attended the programme.

The Director General, NAFDAC Professor, Christiana Adeyeye, at the 2024 Training for Ports Inspection Directorate Priority Clients on Ports Inspection Data Capture and procedures, using,  PIDCARMS platform for the stakeholders and priority clients, said, this becomes imperative as the Agency is working towards providing insights and guidance on the use of the optimized PIDCARMS for efficient and seamless port clearance procedures.

She noted that their participating in the training showed their commitment to staying abreast of technological advancements and best practices within the industry.

Adeyeye said that membership of the priority client platform was not automatic, adding that operators must show commitment to remain above board to enjoy the benefits of a priority client which include 24-hour attention on the platform, self-assessment and costing options including the privilege of customized email access on the PIDCARMS Platform to sort out unique business challenges.

” Admonishing the participants, she noted, ” Throughout the course of this session, we trust that you will gain invaluable knowledge and understanding of the steps involved in utilizing PIDCARMS for port clearance procedures,’’ she said, adding that the Agency had assembled a team of experts that has provided a comprehensive agenda designed to equip them with the necessary skills and expertise to navigate the system with utmost proficiency.

According to her, For the first time,  management has approved that “we charge a token to cover the cost of materials and give you a well-deserved experience.” including the  approval of the issuance of Certificates of Participation for deserving clients ‘.

She said, the essence of the annual training was to continuously improve stakeholders’ skills in the application of PIDCARMS to increase data on right-first-time records.

The Director General called for active participation, engagement, networking and the exchange of ideas and experiences among the participants.

She said that their inputs, suggestions, and feedback were integral to the Agency’s continuous improvement and the enhancement of its services.

‘’We hope this training will serve as a platform for building and strengthening relationships, fostering collaboration, and ultimately contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of port clearance operations,’’ she said.
