Waste2Table Limited drives sustainability, value addition in Oil Palm economy

In its efforts at increasing value derivation and wealth generation from wastes in the country, Waste2Table Limited has acquired a 15-acre palm tree farm in Umuagwuo, IMO State, marking a significant step forward in the company’s commitment to sustainable practices and circular economy principles.

This disclosure was contained in a statement by the company.

Waste2Table Limited prides itself as a leader in innovative waste management and sustainable agricultural practices.

Located in Ikorodu, Lagos , the company is committed to reducing waste, optimizing resources, and contributing to a circular economy that benefits both businesses and the environment.

In the statement by its Director, Gregory Ohiaeri, on the acquisition of Palm Trees Farm in Imo State, it said;

“This strategic acquisition aligns with Waste2Table’s vision to integrate waste reduction, resource optimization, and environmental sustainability. The palm tree farm presents an opportunity to leverage natural resources in a way that minimizes waste and maximizes value across various stages of production.

“By utilizing the palm tree’s various by-products—such as palm oil and kernels, fibers, and leaves—Waste2Table plans to develop eco-friendly solutions that will reduce agricultural waste while creating sustainable products for both local and global markets. The farm will also contribute to the creation of local jobs and boost the region’s economy.”

It further noted that the move also aligns with the company’s mandate of driving sustainability,thereby satisfying the needs of present generation as well as that of future generations.

“With a focus on sustainability, Waste2Table aims to foster a circular economy, where waste is minimized, resources are reused, and economic benefits are shared with the local community. The farm will play a crucial role in supporting this vision, creating a more resilient, sustainable future,” it added.
