3,000 Beneficiaries Receive ₦50,000 Each as Seyi Tinubu Marks 40th Birthday in Lagos

About 3,000 people have received ₦50,000 each as part of an empowerment programme held to commemorate the 40th birthday of Mr. Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu.

The event, organised by the City Boy Movement, took place at Alausa, Ikeja, with several political leaders, lawmakers, and youth representatives in attendance.

In his remarks, the Director General of the City Boy Movement, Mr. Oluwatosin Shoga, said the empowerment initiative was not only to celebrate Seyi Tinubu but also to honour his humility, compassion, and consistent support for the less privileged.

“Special thanks to everyone who put this programme together to honour a very great man, Mr. Seyi Tinubu. God has blessed us with a young man who is passionate about empowering young Nigerians and creating opportunities we never dreamed of,” Shogo said.

The Lagos State Chairman of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe, described Seyi Tinubu as a symbol of excellence and innovation.

“At 40, he stands as a testament that commitment to the Renewed Hope vision can coexist with entrepreneurial spirit. The City Boy Movement was conceived from his visionary mind as a platform for purpose and youth inclusion in governance,” Ogunlewe, who also chairs Kosofe Local Government, noted.

Similarly, Hon. Temitope Adewale, representing Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, praised Seyi Tinubu for his generosity and dedication to humanity.

“I’ve known Barrister Seyi for a long time. He’s extremely nice, humble, and very supportive of his father and our great party, the APC. He has a big giving spirit and never takes ‘no’ for an answer,” Adewale said, urging other young Nigerians to emulate Seyi Tinubu’s hard work and resilience.

The Chairman of Ibeju LCDA and Chairman of Conference 57, Hon. Sesan Olowa, said the empowerment and prayer session reflected the character and values that Seyi Tinubu represents.

“Providing empowerment to people mirrors the ideals Seyi Tinubu is known for — compassion, generosity, and youth upliftment,” Olowa stated.

In her goodwill message, the Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Meranda, described the celebrant as “a humble and fantastic young man whose kindness has transformed many lives.”

“I can assure him that one day, he will surely reap the fruits of the seeds he has sown,” she added, while also urging APC supporters to participate actively in the ongoing voter registration exercise ahead of the 2027 elections.

Also speaking, the APC Youth Leader in Lagos State, Dr. Seriki Muritala, said the younger generation had much to learn from Seyi Tinubu’s kindness, commitment, and steadfastness.

Delivering the sermon, the Shepherd-in-Charge of the Celestial Church of Christ, Genesis Parish, Prophet Israel Oladele Ogundipe, admonished participants to guard their character and actions, noting that Seyi Tinubu had touched many lives positively and deserved to be celebrated.

The event featured Christian and Islamic prayers, as well as worship sessions by various gospel and Islamic singers, with prayers offered for the continued success and wellbeing of the celebrant.
