The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has launched the second batch of its statewide multi-agency training programme, aimed at strengthening coordination, professionalism, and intelligence-driven security operations across the state.
The initiative builds on an earlier session and is part of a broader plan to train over 1,000 personnel from various security and law enforcement agencies.
With the theme focused on enhancing capacity, ethics, and collaboration, the programme reflects a shift toward proactive and integrated security management.
Speaking at the opening, LSSTF leadership emphasised discipline and active participation, urging operatives to treat the training as a critical investment in their careers and service delivery.
Participants were encouraged to engage deeply, share field experiences, and apply new knowledge to improve outcomes.
Security stakeholders, including police, military, and state agencies, described the programme as timely amid Lagos’ evolving security challenges.
They stressed that effective security depends not just on equipment, but on well-trained personnel, inter-agency cooperation, and community intelligence.
The training also highlighted preventive strategies such as the LSSTF-CACCOV initiative, designed to deter crime through early engagement.
Facilitators led sessions focused on practical skills, modern techniques, and strengthening trust between agencies and the communities they serve.
