Apapa-Iganmu LCDA Mobilizes For Tinubu and Re- Election of Lawmakers.

Members of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Apapa-Iganmu Local Council Development Area, said they have concluded plans to ensure that emergence of the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, as the presidential flag bearer of the party.

This is as they declared their support for the re-election of Mr. Mufutau Egberongbe, the member representing Apapa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, and Hon. Olumuyiwa Jimoh, who is Apapa Constituency 2 in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

At a mega rally organised by the Apapa-Iganmu LCDA, the council chairman, Alhaja Funmilayo Akande-Muhammed, people of the area have no other choice than to work for Tinubu, who she said has the ability to sail the ship of the Nigeria come 2023.

The council boss further said that they believe in the abilities of Mr. Egberongbe and Mr. Jimoh to continue to represent them at the National and Lagos State Assembly respectively, to complete all the developmental projects they have both facilitated to the area.

“In Apapa-Iganmu LCDA, we are doing everything we can do to ensure the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as our presidential candidate in the APC. Even if one million people pick the nomination form, Asiwaju is the man for the job because he is a dependable leader of the people.

“I also have confidence in Allah that Mr. Mufutau Egberongbe will emerge as our candidate for Apapa Federal Constituency, while our own Mr. Muyiwa Jimoh will emerge for the State House of Assembly, the whole of Apapa-Iganmu LCDA have agreed on this arrangement and that is why we are here today to declare our support for the three of them,”.

While fielding questions from newsmen, Mr. Egberongbe commended his counterpart in the state House of Assembly for impacting positively on the Apapa community.

According to Mr. Egberongbe, “Mr. Muyiwa Jimoh represents development, he represents the downtrodden and he has demonstrated that severally both in the Constituency and on the floor of the House of Assembly in Lagos.

“He remains one of the best in the history of the Lagos State House of Assembly, from his depositary of knowledge and academics, as he has brought it to bare in his representation”.

“His hallmark in this present administration is to ensure that one of the major road in Apapa-Iganmu is put in good shape and many others, I continue to pray for his success and for our people to give him the necessary support needed come 2023.”

Mr. Egberongbe added that as they move forward to the electioneering year, his achievements for the people as their representative in the House of Representatives, will speak volume for his return to the National Assembly.

“As their representative in Abuja, I have trained a lot of the Constituents in skills acquisition such as tailoring, make-up, barbing, computer training and other trades”.

The reps member explained that a lot of them are on their own now as they have become employers of labour. We didn’t only train, we empowered with cash and equipment to start up their business.

“This in a way, has reduced poverty and youth restiveness in our community. I want to continue from where we are now and to do more”.

 He also pointed out that he will continue to support the decision of the party on any mode of primary the leadership deem fit”.

On his part, Jimoh noted that legislative business requires a lot of experience to bring major development to communities with people’s friendly projects.

“As a new member then at the Lagos State House of Assembly, I was unable to make decisions especially on projects to push for due to lack of experience. Now, we are constructing a bridge between Karimu and Ijora, a bridge between Owoseni, Baale Street and Moshalashi Street, it is only a ranking member that can push for such projects to the benefit of the communities and its people,” he said. He noted that with God and support of people that matters in his host community, his chances to return and serve well is very high
