It is the Social Media Award 2023 designed to reward all facets of players driving the social media world.
The Convener of the Social Media Award, Mr. Emmanuel Nwafor said that the Award would unleash the hidden or undiscovered potentials of players to inspire their creativity and innovation.
He said that the Award would recognise those who are pushing the boundaries of what social media can do for good.
Mr. Nwafor said that there are over twenty-five categories of the award.
He listed some of the award categories to include best social influencer campaign, social media influencer of the year, social media personality of the year, blogger of the year, most educative video content, best Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Tiktok video of the year.
According to Mr. Emmanuel Nwafor, nominations for the awards open today and will close on the thirtieth of this month while voting will last for two months from July One to August thirty-one.
He said that nomination is free and that anyone can nominate any person or organisation for any or all the award categories, but can only vote once for each of the categories.
Mr. Nwafor said that the Social Media Award is going to be the most transparent award ever in Nigeria as people can see the standing of the person or organisation that they voted for immediately and will know if the person is in the lead or not.
