Badagry Council Chairman, Onilude, Breaks Ramadan Fast with Constituents, Harps on Peaceful Co-existence, Generosity

Muslim faithful in Badagry Council Area of Lagos have been admonished to always remember to give to the less privileged in the holy month of Ramadan as an act of Ibadah to Allah.

Chairman, Badagry Council Area, Mr Olusegun Adeniran Onilude, made the admonition when breaking fast with hundreds of his constituents at the Council Secretariat in Badagry.

Mr Onilude emphasized on the importance of generosity and kindness to the needy around the communities, noting that the government alone cannot cater for the needs of all citizens.

He called on well meaning Nigerians and Corporate Organics to extend their Corporate Social Responsibilities to those in need in this Ramadan and beyond to get double blessings from Allah.

In a sermon, an Islamic Cleric, Sheikh AbdurRahmaan AbdulAzeez Az-zakawiy, who spoke on the essence of Ramadan to include sacrificial giving and holiness, called on Badagry constituents to ensure peaceful co-existence with all residents irrespective of faith, ethnicity or political affiliations.

Highpoints of the event was the recitation of the holy Quran and prayers for President Bola Tinubu and family, Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu and family, Badagry Town, Lagos State and Nigeria at large.
