Bosso Upbeat About Brazil Clash in FIFA Under 20 World Cup

Buoyed by victory over their Italian counterparts yesterday, the Flying Eagles of Nigeria have landed in Bueno Aires from Mendoza where they played their first two group games of the FIFA Under 20 World Cup Argentina 2023.

The Ladan Bosso trained team will tackle Brazil on Saturday at the Estadio Unico Diego Maradona in La Plata to wrap up the group stage games.

Bosso whose boys zoomed into the Round of 16 of the World Cup following a 2-0 win against Gil Azzurrini of Italy on Wednesday night dedicated the win to his critics.

“I dedicate this victory to those who criticise me,”

“Their criticisms have certainly kept me on my toes.”

The Flying Eagles were expected to be overrun by the Italians, who defeated pre-tournament favourites Brazil 3-2 in their first game.

Instead, it was the Flying Eagles who outplayed the Europeans.

The Nigerian boys will now face Brazil in their last group game on Saturday and Bosso believes the five-time champions are beatable.

The final group stage fixtures of the Champions will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Round of 16 stages will commence next week.
