Lagos State Football Association Elects New Board

Mr Fouad Oki has emerged the newly elected Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association, replacing former Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) 1st vice president Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi.

In a keenly contested election which took place at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium in Onikan, Lagos, yesterday, Oki defeated the former acting chairman, Tade Azeez after polling 13 votes against his challenger’s one vote.

Also at yesterday’s poll, the CEO of 36 Lions FC of Lagos Gafar Olawale Liameed emerged the Vice Chairman of the Lagos FA after defeating Dotun Coker by 10 votes to 4.

At his post-election and acceptance speech, Oki expressed appreciation for the love and support given to him.
