Youths in Itire-Ikate have commended Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila, for the developmental strides initiated in recent times in the community.
Coordinator of National Youth Council if Nigeria, Itire-Ikate chapter, Comrade Ayodele Oshodi in a chat with newsreel lauded the Speaker for projects, such as the Agric Triaining Centre, located in Odo-Olowu in Ijeshatedo, which was recently inaugurated by the lawmaker.
Comrade Oshodi highlighted some of the other projects, including distribution of security light to streets, initiated by the lawmaker , described the gesture as succour to restiveness in that area.
Comrade Oshodi stated that “The Roads, modern secondary school, streetlights, rural health care centres, solar powered boreholes, Agricultural training centres, sports and recreational centers among others facilitated by our speaker are true reflections of democratic dividends.
“We are happy that such feats were accomplished and we urge the people to judiciously utilize them. “Our people want their roads to be free of potholes, which we are aware of and we are doing our best in that regard.” he added
The Youth leader who commended the efforts of Chairman, Itire-Ikate LCDA Dr. Ahmed Olanrewaju Apatira, for ensuring the projects became reality, called on other political representatives to imbibe such character, and not only show up in communities only during electioneering.
Projects recently initiated and inaugurated by the Speaker includes infrastructural facilities such sports, and other recreational centres, as well as solar powered boreholes for some areas in the community.
