Dialogue remains the best tool for labour resolution –Bolanle Owoyemi

Unity of purpose between staff members and leadership are important factors necessary for a successful administration

The Director Lagos Operations of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Mrs. Bolanle Owoyemi stated this when she received executive members of Senior Staff Association of Statutory Corporations and Government Owned Companies at the the Broadcasting House, Ikoyi

Stressing that the welfare of staff members remains a priority for her management team, Mrs Owoyemi noted that dialogue remained the only option for resolving labour issues

“With the team of management, I know we will be able to work together with the Unions to ensure that we take Radio Nigeria Lagos Operations to the heights that we desire.”

The Director who reiterated that hardworking staff would be duly rewarded, added that her office is open to ideas and complaint.

“I believe strongly in productivity, to whom much is given, much is expected.I also like to partner; when you partner with the people you are working with, you will not be limited and you will be able to move the organisation forward”

Contributing, the Deputy Director, Marketing, Mr. Isitifanus Baba urged the unions to continue in their steadfast cooperation with the management of FRCN

“We know how useful in-house Unions have been to the Management, they came to the rescue of the team when things were hard”

Earlier in a remark, the National President of the
Senior Staff Association of Statutory Corporations and Government Owned Companies, Alhaji Muhammad Yunusa, who was represented by the National Public Relations Officer of the Association, Comrade Adedayo Abiodun reassured the Association’s support to Radio Nigeria, Lagos Operations, and solicited improved human capital drive .

“SSA believes in dialogue, we must dialogue to agree. We will not go banging tables, If there is any issue with operations, feel free to call us”

The event also had in attendance members of the Committee of Management of FRCN, Lagos Operations, including Deputy Director News and Current Affairs, Mr. Shaka Braimah and General Manager, Radio One 103.5fm, Mr. Korede Ogunbunmi
