Eid-el-Kabir: Ojelabi Urges Sacrifice, Unity, Support for Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu

Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, has felicitated Muslim faithful on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, urging Nigerians to embrace the virtues of sacrifice, unity, tolerance and obedience to God.

In a statement issued on behalf of the Lagos APC leadership, Ojelabi described Eid-el-Kabir as a significant Islamic festival symbolising faith, love and total submission to the will of Allah, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.

Quoting Surah Al-Hajj 22:37 of the Holy Qur’an, he noted that the essence of the celebration lies in piety and devotion rather than material offerings.

“The lessons of Eid-el-Kabir remind us of the importance of sacrifice, patience and steadfastness in overcoming challenges. As a people, we must remain united, hopeful and committed to building a stronger and more prosperous Lagos and Nigeria,” he said.

Ojelabi called on Nigerians, particularly residents of Lagos State, to continue supporting the administrations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in their efforts to promote economic growth, sustainable development and improved welfare for citizens.

He also urged Muslims to use the festive period to pray for peace, stability and progress in the country, while extending love and support to the less privileged.

The Lagos APC chairman reaffirmed the commitment of the party leadership to grassroots development and good governance across the state.

He wished Muslim faithful a peaceful, joyful and rewarding Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
