Election Results: NLC urges aggrieved parties to approach the court, insists on the existence of the country

Following the declaration of Senator Bola Tinubu as the President-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, the National President of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Comrade Joseph Ajaero has advised aggrieved parties to go to court to pursue their case.

He gave the advised during a courtesy visit on one of the Unions in the Aviation Industry in Lagos, the Association of Nigeria Aviation Professionals ANAP.

The NLC President emphasized that, their interest and concern is the continuous existence of the country.

“The courts are there for people to follow up their grievances and people equally protest if they do not like what what is happening, they can go to the court but this country must exist as far as the NLC is concern, this country must exist”.

Comrade Ajaero praised the performance of the Labour Party candidates in the just concluded elections, adding that, Labour now has a voice in the National Assembly.

“Labour Party has performed creditably well, they have come up to be a voice of the masses in the National Assembly tomorrow”. This is one of the greatest achievements the Labour Party has achieved, it doesn’t matter  they didn’t win the presidency but we now have a voice as Labour Party”.

According to the NLC president, with the Labour Party now part of the National Assembly, deliberations on the floor of both houses would be robust as they would make contributions that would improve the lot of the masses. 

Comrade Ajaero said the Labour Party will be reorganised to be a party that will take over leadership of the country and called on all workers to exercise patience.

The NLC president’s visit to ANAP is to ascertain the problems the union is grappling with in the industry.
