Elegbeleye, Owumi Retain Roles on New Nigeria Premier League Board

The Nigeria Football Federation has appointed Mr Gbenga Elegbeleye the chairman of the Nigeria Premier League, NPL.

Elegbeleye, a former Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Youth and Sports, headed the Interim Management Committee that executed the last NPL season and the Super 6, drawing high praise from the NFF and stakeholders in general.

The new NPL board comprises as members Mohammed Nasiru Sa’idu, Poubeni Ogun, Daniel Amokachi, Okey Kpalukwu, Mallam Suleiman Umar and Dominic Iorfa.

The Secretary/Legal Adviser is Danlami Ibrahim while the Chief Operating Officer is Davidson Owumi.

The new NPFL board has a two-year tenure, the same as the boards of the Nigeria National League, the Nigeria Women Football League and the Nigeria Nation-Wide League that were inaugurated on Monday.
