FRSC Kano Holds Road Safety Rally Ahead 2026 Sallah

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), RS1.2 Kano Sector Command, has conducted a road show and rally in line with directives from the Road Safety Headquarters (RSHQ) as part of a nationwide public enlightenment campaign ahead of the 2026 Sallah celebration.

The exercise, held on Monday, March 16, 2026, along the Kano–Zaria Road, was led by the Sector Commander, CC Idris Mohammed Lawal, with support from the Sector Head of Operations, DCC BY Mohammed.

The campaign focused on raising awareness about road safety, promoting responsible driving habits, and ensuring a crash-free Sallah celebration across Kano State and beyond.

This initiative aligns with the Corps’ 2026 strategic goal of “Renewed Commitment, Professionalism and Improved Service Delivery,” as outlined by the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed.

As part of the rally, the Sector Commander and his team visited Kano Line Motor Park, where they engaged key transport stakeholders, including members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO), and Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), alongside drivers and passengers.

During the engagement, motorists were advised to avoid overloading, adhere to speed limits, refrain from reckless driving, and comply fully with traffic rules and regulations to enhance safety during the festive period.

Transport union representatives, drivers, and passengers commended the initiative and pledged their commitment to following road safety regulations to support a crash-free Sallah celebration.
