The Chairman of the Conference League of Chairmen, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, on Monday led a delegation of local government chairmen on a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, in Lagos.
The visit, according to Hon. Olowa, was aimed at deepening collaboration between the legislative arm and grassroots administrators to strengthen service delivery across communities.
He commended the ongoing reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing them as courageous steps toward rebuilding the economy and laying a solid foundation for national progress and prosperity.
In his response, Speaker Obasa reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to the third tier of government, assuring that the legislature will continue to support policies and initiatives that consolidate governance at the grassroots level for the benefit of residents.
The engagement underscores the growing synergy between state institutions and local councils in advancing the Federal Government’s vision of inclusive development and effective service delivery to Nigerians at all levels.
