There is the need for well-meaning Nigerians and a non-governmental organisations to extend helping hands to the less privileged in society to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor.
Amir of the Ahmadiyyah Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria, Alhaji Abdul-Azeez Alatoye stated this while briefing newsmen about the activities of a non-governmental organization, known as Humanity First Nigeria HFN.
Humanity First Nigeria is a global charitable, non-political, non-religious, non-sectarian organization established to promote, relieve, and safeguard human life and dignity internationally and in development that works with the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people.
Alhaji Alatoye said promoting the welfare of the less privileged is paramount to the association to safeguard their fundamental rights and make them contribute their own quota to the development of society.
He said that the organization has also been involved in projects through different platforms to assist communities in becoming self-sufficient in food production, provide jobs, and generate income for future projects.
Alhaji Alatoye urged the government at all levels to put human feelings into any of the demolition to prevent disasters caused by the government itself.
While giving the report for the year 2023, Chairman Humanity First Nigeria HFN, Dr Yekini Habib said Humanity First International Nigeria has provided support and relief to over one million people in 2023 in sixty-four countries of the world through food donation exercises, visits to the poor and vulnerable and support during drought famine and other natural disasters
He stressed that their target for this year is food security to end hunger in order to achieve food sufficient and improve nutrition to promote sustainable agriculture.
He called on well-meaning Nigerians to provide a sustainable standard of living to vulnerable ones in society.
