Lagos Command and Control Center Boss kicks against hoax calls on 112/767

Lagos residents have been urged to desist from making hoax calls on the state government’s emergency toll free line 112 and 767 to prevent delay of response time for real cases.

General Manager, Lagos Command and Control Center, Mr Femi Kennedy-Giwa, made the call in a chat with our Correspondent Yemisi Dada on the sideline of the ongoing SEMA conference Day two, which brought together all emergency state actors across the thirty six states and FCT held at Igando.

Mr Kennedy-Giwa emphasized the significance of enhancing public safety and operational efficiency through improved institutional framework and infrastructure, while leveraging on technology for innovation.

“I want to reiterate the Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu’s administration dedication to prioritizing safety of Lagosians through continuous upgrading and modernization of infrastructure and operations of the Centre as well as public advocacy on the right use of the emergency toll free line of the state “767/112” in making Lagos State a safe, secure, and livable megacity for all residents and visitors” he said.

The Command and Control Center Boss called on other state governments to have the political will, with increased funding for Emergency officers to deliver on their mandate.”

Work Plan is in alignment with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES+ Agenda and vision for the Centre, aimed at improving response efficiency, strengthening inter-agency collaboration and integrating State-of -the Art Technology for monitoring of public safety” Giwa stated.

Mr Kennedy-Giwa assured Lagos residents that assistance would be deployed to scenes of emergency once they receive distressed calls through the till free lines 112 or 767.
