Lagos Set to Airlift First Batch of Christian Pilgrims to Isreal, Jordan

Intending pilgrims in Lagos State to Israel and Jordan have been reminded of the importance of spiritual renewal and commitment to their faith during their journey.

The Very Reverend Dr. Ayo Adepoju, gave the charge during a Dedication Service at the Chapel of Christ The Light, Alausa, Ikeja.

He encouraged the pilgrims to seize every opportunity to deepen their relationship with Christ, remain steadfast in their devotion, and to pray for the Lagos State government and Nigeria in general.

Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by Commissioner for Home Affairs, Mr. Ibrahim Layode, urged the pilgrims to remain spiritually focused, disciplined, and law-abiding throughout their trip.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Christian Religious Matters, Very Reverend Bukola Adebiyi, advised the pilgrims to dress modestly, eat moderately, and stay with their assigned groups.

The Secretary of the Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Dr. Omoniyi Okudero, reminded the pilgrims that their journey is a sacred period for spiritual renewal and deeper communion with God.

He stressed that unity among pilgrims was key to achieving the spiritual purpose of the journey.

The first batch of pilgrims will be airlifted on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
