The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, has taken its emergency sensitization and revitalisation campaign of Local Emergency Management Committees, LEMCs, to Alimosho Council Area.

Addressing stakeholders’ at the Alimosho Council secretariat, Permanent Secretary, LASEMA, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said the visit was to reinforce coordination efforts geared towards preparedness, early response, and community awareness.
Dr Oke-Osanyintolu emphasized the need for safety planning, emergencyreadiness, and public awareness measures by LEMCs in the Alimosho area of Lagos, to ensure a safe festive period and beyond.
“At LASEMA, we remain committed to proactive preparedness, continuousawareness and safeguarding lives and property across Lagos State” PS stated”.
Our discussions here today is centered on strengthening inter-agencycollaboration, preparedness, and awareness for large-scale public events”On his part, the Alimosho Council Chairman, Mr Akinpelu Johnson, said the engagement was not merely an assessment, but a partnership for learning, improvement and institutional strengthening at the grassroots.

The Council Chairman promised to continue to support the LEMCs, strengthen inter-agency collaboration and work closely with LASEMA to build a safer and more resilient Alimosho.

The Revitalisation sensitization campaign is expected to go round all the twenty Council areas and thirty seven Council Development Areas of the state.
