The election was conducted by the Lagos Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, at the International Press Centre of MARAN in Apapa.
The Chairman of NUJ, Mr. Adeleye Ajayi administered the oath of office.
Mr. Ajayi urged the newly elected executive to carry every member of the association along and advised Bivbere to operate an open-door policy.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Bivbere promised to work with every member of MARAN in order to restore the glory of the association and to take its rightful place in the industry.
He said that the task of reclaiming the lost glory of the association starts immediately.
