The Nigeria Basketball Federation NBBF has released the final 12man D’Tigers lineup to the African zone 2023 FIBA World Cup last qualifying window in Angola.

Only one player from the reigning Nigeria league champions Kwara Falcons made the cut from an initial 21 called up while Gombe Bulls supplied the highest number of selected personnel, 4.

The enterprising Falcons’ coach Baba Jubril was amongst the assistant coaches who made the choice of 12 players.

Ogo Daudu of Rivers Hoopers will take charge of the country’s senior men basketball squad while Abdulrahman Mohammed of Gombe Bulls is the second assistant coach.

Nigeria currently ranked 4th in their group will play Ivory coast, Guinea and Angola in the qualifying tournament scheduled between February 24 and 26 in Luanda.

The top two teams from groups E and F plus the best third placed nation will qualify to fly Africa’s flag in the 2023 FIBA world cup in Indonesia, Japan and Philippines.
