The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is set to launch a major national campaign aimed at strengthening digital inclusion and accelerating Nigeria’s transition into a fully digital economy.
The initiative, known as the Digital Awareness and Sensitization Fora, debuts on November 13, 2025, with the theme “Leaving No One Behind: Digital Assets, Equity, and Empowerment.”
Designed as a strategic platform for innovation and policy dialogue, the forums will tackle Nigeria’s digital divide by addressing gaps in digital literacy, infrastructure, affordability, and policy alignment.According to the Commission, the maiden edition will bring together industry experts, policymakers, regulators, community leaders, educators, fintech innovators, and development partners to develop actionable strategies for an inclusive digital future.
Key sessions will explore:Inclusive digital policy frameworks, Affordable and accessible digital infrastructure, Adaptive digital literacy programmes, Safety and protection for Nigeria’s over 140 million Internet users.
With 60% of Africa’s population under 25, Nigeria represents a significant portion of this youthful demographic.
The NCC says this young population is a powerful national asset that must be fully engaged and empowered through equitable digital access.
The forum is jointly organized by the NCC in partnership with the USPF, NOA, NCWS, ATCON, FintechNGR, KOICA, Terra Industries, ANI, SEB, NUC, NBTE, Imose Technologies, and the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD).
Participants will also experience exhibitions and showcases by innovators, fintech organizations, and students — a highlight expected to spotlight the creativity and ingenuity within Nigeria’s rapidly expanding digital ecosystem.
