Nigerians Called To Support Government’s Fight Against Insecurity

The Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Power, Mr.Joshua Gana has appealed to Nigerians to support the government in the fight against insecurity.

Mr. Gana made the appeal at the Thanksgiving celebration of Mr.Okey-Joe Onuakalusi held at the RCCG Cornerstone Parish in Okota, Lagos.

He alleged that some of the criminals are known faces in the communities, hence the need to collaborate with the government to nib insecurity in the bud

“Most of these people that are causing these problems in our community, the community people know them but are afraid to bring their names and their family to the security agencies so they could be apprehended. Some of them are benefiting because these people give them money or support their feeding. So they keep going against government, saying government has not paid them but they like what those banditory give them.

The speaker of the house of representatives , Tajudeen Abass who was represented by Mr.Fredrick Agbedi called on Nigerians to bury the hatchet and live in peace

He described Mr. Onuakalisi who Represents Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency 2 as a true testament of a united Nigeria not minding tribe or tongue.

“This is the only way by which Nigeria will become one whereby we use diversity to strengthen development and progress and this is the way that can foster unity so that we will be less of language, we’ll be less of religion but we’ll be more attracted to the benefit that an individual who was born and breed in your community will bring better development.

Mr. Onuakalisi, filled with joy for the opportunity given him to serve, highlighted some of his achievements in the last two years

“No man succeeds without being disciplined. No man succeeds without being knowledgeable. Leadership is about listening and taking decisions. We have attracted some jobs here, we have facilitated some people, we have even sent people to go to china. I have over 20 people that were sent to China for three weeks straight and it gives me joy when I look back, I said we have done our best therefore, I call on our people of oshodi let us join hands to rejoice and thank God for his faithfulness who has kept us healthy, this is two years and two months since we were sworn in”

The Administrative Officer for Oshodi-Isolo constituency, Mr. Walter Ukaga commended Mr. Onuakalisi for making some children smile by providing free jamb forms for them, school facilities for children, solar street lights to enable more visibility and others

While the Eze Idi-igbo of Lagos, Igbo 1, Dr. Christian Nwachukwu thanked Mr.Onuakalisi for the giant strides witnessed in Oshodi-Isolo constituency, called for peace among the people

High lights of the Thanksgiving was the cutting of a cake adorned in Nigerian color, felicitation by dignitaries, royal fathers, cultural dance from different ethnic groups and the taking of group photographs.
