An Air Peace flight, P47190 with registration number 5N-BQQ, operating from Lagos, experienced a runway excursion after landing at Port Harcourt International Airport (PHIA) today, Sunday, July 13, 2025, at approximately 07:45 AM.
Both Air Peace and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) confirmed the incident, stating that the aircraft veered slightly off runway 03 upon landing.
Despite the incident, all 127 passengers on board disembarked safely and calmly, with no injuries or damage to the aircraft reported.
Spokesperson for Air Peace Limited, Osifo-Whiskey Efe, reiterated the airline’s commitment to safety, assuring the flying public of their “unflinching commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety in all our operations.”
Director of Public Affairs & Consumer Protection for FAAN, Mrs. Obiageli Orah, confirmed that evacuation of the passengers was completed safely and that no casualties were recorded.
She also advised the public to anticipate potential flight delays for any departing flights to Port Harcourt as a result of the incident.
