NSCDC In LagosTakes Campaign Against Social Vices To School

The Badagry Division and the Special Female Squad ( SFS ) of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command have embarked on sensitization campaigns against cultism, bullying, sexual molestations, in schools within Badagry axis.

The Badagry Divisional Officer, Chief Superintendent of Corps ( CSC ) Akinyemi Rasheed Ayodeji, said that the campaign also centered on drug addictions and other forms of social vices often noticed amongst school children in the area and elsewhere.

“We visited the students of State Senior High School, Ibereko in partnership with the Special Female Squad of the Command, led, by Deputy Superintendent of Corps ( DSC ) Ada Agada.

In a statement by the image maker of the corps, Mr. Abolurin Oluwaseun, the sensitization team, which was led, by the Badagry Divisional Officer, CSC Akinyemi Ayodeji, educated the students through dramatic and verbal means, on the ills of cultism, bullying, rape and other social vices noticeable amongst their peers.

Principal of the school, Mrs Benedict Abudu expressed absolute support and commended the NSCDC team for targeting the students at no better time than now.

One of the resource persons, Mr Victor Ashaka, further enlightened, the students on the need to shun all forms of vices that may be harmful to their health and future.

The NSCDC, Lagos State Commandant, Commandant of Corps, Mr. Edenabu Okoro Eweka commended the effort of the Badagry Divisional Officer and the Special Female Squad ( SFS ), on the gesture.

“The Command’s resolve against cultism, rape, bullying, sexual molestations, addiction to drugs, kidnapping of school children and other social vices in our schools is not negotiable ,” Eweka said.
