The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau, NSIB has confirmed a Kaduna-bound train derailed earlier today at about 11:09 a.m. between Kubwa and Asham stations.
Six passengers were injured, but thankfully no lives were lost.
A team of investigators is already on site, gathering evidence and working with relevant authorities to uncover what went wrong.
The Bureau’s Director-General, Captain Alex Badeh Jr., in a statement has assured Nigerians of a thorough and transparent investigation aimed at preventing such incidents in the future.
The NSIB extends its sympathies to the injured and promises to keep the public updated as findings unfold.
