NYSC Warns Corps Members Against Criminal Acts

The 2023 Batch “C” Stream Two Corps Members posted to Lagos State Matching at the closing of the Orientation Course at the NYSC Camp, in Iyana-Ipaja, Agege, Lagos.

The Management of the National Youths Service Corps, NYSC, has warned Corps Members against getting involved in any form of criminal activity, as the Corps will not shield any Corps member caught in such acts.

The Coordinator, NYSC Lagos State, Mrs. Yetunde Baderinwa gave the warning at the Closing of the Orientation Course for the 2023 Batch “C” Stream Two Corps Members posted to Lagos State.

While Mrs. Baderinwa congratulates the Corps members for the successful completion of their Orientation course which is the first phase of the One year mandatory national service, she advised them to be of good conduct throughout their service year.

She stressed that as they resume at their primarily places of assignment in different communities in Lagos State, they should be law abiding and impart their host communities positively.

The NYSC boss in Lagos State emphasised that the Corps members should avoid mingling with bad friends that could influence them into getting involved in any form of criminality.

Mrs. Baderinwa stressed that since NYSC is known for good conduct, integrity and discipline, the management would not hesitate to punish any Corps member that goes against the rules and regulations guiding the scheme if need be.

In a message to the event, the Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations, Mr. Olugbenga Oyerinde called on the Corps members to impart the communities where they would be serving positively and respect the culture and tradition of their host communities.

Mr. Oyerinde however, assured the Corps Members that the State government would support them in every way possible to put in their best at their primary places of assignment.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of commendation awards to Corps members and staff of NYSC that performed exceptionally well during the Orientation course.
