The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, on Thursday, led other principal officers of the House and other lawmakers on a condolence visit to the residence of the Deputy Chief Whip Hon. (Engr) Setonji David.
Hon. David’s wife, Adenike Beatrice, died last weekend.
The Speaker consoled Hon. Setonji David reminding him that death is a debt every human must pay.
“It saddened my heart when I heard of the death of your lovely wife. It is really hard on us. Death is inevitable. Yes! We know. Your wife already made impacts in life. She has touched lives positively. That’s the fundamental thing. And the goal of life. Please take heart. Myself and colleagues are with you, and God is with you,” Obasa said.
Other lawmakers equally took turns to express their condolences, praying God to comfort Hon. Setonji David.

Samuel Olufemi Apata, Somolu Constituency 2. They were joined by the Secretary to the Badagry Local Government, Gbetogo Moses Opa.
In a related development, the Management of the Lagos State House of Assembly led by the Clerk, Mr Olalekan Onafeko had paid a condolence visit to Hon. (Engr.) Setonji David at his residence in Lagos on the death of his wife, Mrs Adenike Beatrice David.
Mr Onafeko presented an official condolence letter to the bereaved Deputy Chief Whip while the team signed the condolence register.
