Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu says the overpass at Oyingbo in Lagos Mainland Local Government Area of Lagos State will bring a permanent solution to the transportation problem in the area.
The governor stated this at the inauguration T-shaped Oyingbo overpass, saying it is transforming the transportation landscape of Lagos.
He noted that the intersection that connects Muritala Mohammed Way is critical to the entire state considering the location of Oyingbo in Ebute-Meta.
Governor Sanwo-Olu said the idea was to eliminate the interaction between pedestrians and the red rail line and to guarantee the safety of residents.
Governor Abiodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State, who unveiled the inauguration stone, said Governor Sanwo-Olu had remained an excellent example of good governance to other states.

He said Governor Sanwo-Olu’s developmental stride was visible to everyone and what he was willing to emulate.
Earlier, the Lagos State for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi said the government’s vision for transportation was sustainable, reiterating that Lagosians should own the massive infrastructure and maintain them.
The Managing Director of the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, Mrs Abimbola Akinajo said the bridge was part of a fulfillment of Lagos State agreement to construct five bridges at level crossings while the federal government would build the remaining five.
