Remo’s Captain Promises to Silence Sporting Supporters in Naija Super 8 Final

The South-West Derby in tomorrow’s final of the Naija Super 8 has been generating a lot of heated debate over who is really the king of the region between Remo Stars of Ikenne and Sporting Lagos.

Expectedly Sporting’s boisterous supporters will be in their full voice at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena Onikan Lagos venue of tomorrow’s match.

The fanatic supporters have made the venue a comfort zone for Sporting throughout their campaign in the 2nd tier club football competition before gaining promotion to the elite division and in the Naija Super 8 tourney.

But Remo Stars have fried bigger fishes on the continent where they faced a lot more hostile environment.

And captain Nduka Junior is unfazed about the expected high level of hostility supporters of Sporting will bring to the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in tomorrow’s final of the Super 8:

“Talking about the Sporting Lagos’ fans, they are small compared to the one I encountered in Morocco last season when I played on the continent.

“They are not a threat to me or my colleagues.

“They are a newly promoted side, they will feel like they want to play with the big boys.”

Results in the Super 8 show Sporting are really mixing it with the established order in Nigeria’s club football tournament.

They have the best defence in the competition, conceding only two goals so far and after beating their opponents in the group phase, will hope to do a double over Remo who boast of the best attack with 6 goals scored.

Despite Sporting’s impressive record, Nduka still believes the Lagos based side will learn some teething lessons tomorrow:

“I think they best way to beat a baby is to school them.”

To spice up the occasion, organisers of the Super 8 has scheduled Nigeria’s top music act The Zazu crooner Portable to entertain the crowd.

The final will kick off at 5PM
