Retired Lagos Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries Support Govt To Improve Welfare of Residents

The Association of Lagos State Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries, ALARHOSPS, has expressed its commitment to continue to offer complimentary services for all programmes of the State Government.

ALARHOSP’s President, Dr Femi Olugbile made this known in Ikeja during a news briefing to kick-start the commencement of the Association’s annual week.

Reiterating the Association’s commitment to its advisory role to the State government, Dr. Olugbile
said whatever policy appraisal the body comes up with, it would always be made available to the state Government.

He said the 2021 Association’s week with the theme “Celebrating past and present with focus on the future” is aimed at not only celebrating members, but acknowledging those who have passed-on as well as giving back to the community.

The ALARHOSP’s President noted that the activities planned for the week include a range of initiatives that reflect the broad sweep of the mission of the body and range from religious observance to propagating the need for exercise and fitness for all, including senior citizens.

According to him, the series of event include a jumat Service this Friday at the State Secretariat Central Mosque, Ikeja, Health Walk, Health Talk and Games as well as a thanksgiving Service on Sunday at Chapel of Christ the Light, CBD, Alausa, Ikeja.

He said a Primary Health Centre in Kosofe Local Government Area, Ajegunle rehabilitated by the Association would be handed over, as well as donation of materials to Rehabilitation and Correctional Centres, Majidun and Vocational Centre for people with disabilities, Owutu, in Ikorodu Local Government Area.

The Grand Finale according to Dr Olugbile will be the recognition of departed members of the association and a get together at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa.
