Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has unveiled the rehabilitated four-storey building of the Lagos State Building Control Agency in Ikeja.
At the inauguration, Governor Sanwo-Olu stated that the four-storey modern building tagged green building which support climate change, would serve as a hub for collaboration, innovation and excellence in building practices as well as a conducive working environment for staff to improve productivity.
The Governor who inspected the march past by the LASBCA demolition gang, urged professionals in the construction sector to follow due process in compliance to rules and regulations in the State’s Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development to prevent building collapse in the state.

In an address of welcome, the General Manager LASBCA, Mr Gbolahan Oki, who expressed delight on the actualization of the modern building, noted that the building is not for show off but to enhance staff commitment to professionalism in service delivery to residents.
In the course of the construction, Governor Sanwo-Olu approved immediate employment of one hundred and forty-three contract staff of LASBCA who had been casual staff for over ten years.
