Senior Aviation Officials Redeployed in Sector Efficiency Drive

The Federal Government has approved a major redeployment of senior directors across key aviation agencies in a move aimed at strengthening coordination and improving operational efficiency within the sector.

The directive, issued by the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development and signed by Permanent Secretary Yakubu Adam Kofarmata, takes immediate effect and affects leadership positions in the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, and the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau.

According to the Ministry, the reshuffle targets critical departments responsible for governance, finance, corporate services, public affairs, human resources, and consumer protection, with agencies directed to ensure seamless handover to prevent disruptions.

Several directors were reassigned across agencies to promote institutional collaboration, while at the NCAA, the Director of Special Duties was relieved of his appointment and replaced to maintain administrative continuity.

The Ministry says the redeployment is part of routine reforms designed to strengthen service delivery, improve accountability, and enhance safety oversight across Nigeria’s aviation industry as sector reforms continue.
