Residents of Ikosi Isheri Council Development Area of Lagos now have access to affordable and improved healthcare service delivery.
This follows the handover of the rehabilitated Isheri Primary Healthcare Centre, renovated by the Team Impact of the Lateef Jakande leadership Academy tagged Greater Health Project.
Unveiling the plaque, the Lagos Head of Service, Mr Bode Agoro, said the Lateef Jakande leadership Academy is a one year non-partisan and meritocratic fellowship program initiated by Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu to develop future leaders by equipping them with requisite skills to positively influence public service.
In a remark, the Project Team lead, Dr Micheal Ogunkoya, said investment in the project which fund was sourced by the team, was to reduce maternal and child mortality rates as well as ensure a healthier population in Lagos.
Appreciating the gesture, the Chairperson of Ikosi Isheri LCDA, Princess Samiat Bada, and the Baale of Isheri, Chief Herbert Oluwole, promised to ensure the Primary Healthcare Centre is put to good use with assurance of regular maintenance of the equipment and infrastructure.
The Executive Secretary, Lateef Jakande leadership Academy, Mrs Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade, thanked the state government for the opportunity to serve and give back to the community for improved service delivery.
The rehabilitated Isheri Primary Healthcare Centre now has solar inverter, electronic medical records, and enhanced medical equipment.
