The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 74th birthday, commending his leadership and commitment to delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Research, Media, and Documentation, Adeshina Oyetayo, Obasa described the President as a pragmatic and purposeful leader dedicated to building a peaceful and prosperous nation.
He noted that Tinubu’s economic reforms, though initially challenging, have helped stabilize Nigeria’s economy and reposition it for long-term growth.
According to him, these efforts are now gaining both local and international recognition.
Obasa referenced a January 2026 report by The Economist titled “Nigeria’s economy may be back from the brink,” which highlighted key improvements such as declining inflation for eleven consecutive months, foreign exchange market unification, and an increase in foreign reserves to $46 billion.
The report also cited an improved 2026 growth forecast of 4.4 percent by the International Monetary Fund, signaling renewed investor confidence despite global economic challenges.
Describing the developments as evidence of progress, Obasa said Nigeria is on a steady path to recovery and prosperity under Tinubu’s leadership.
He urged citizens to continue supporting the administration, expressing confidence that the benefits of the Renewed Hope Agenda will reach all Nigerians.
He concluded with prayers for the President’s continued strength, wisdom, and good health as he leads the country toward its development goals.
