Xejet Aircraft Skids Off Runway at Lagos Airport,  Echoes Dana Air Incident

At approximately 11:29 am this morning, an aircraft belonging to Xejet veered off the runway at the domestic wing of Lagos Airport.

This incident echoes a recent event involving Dana Air, prompting the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to suspend the airline’s operations.

Investigations reveal that the Xejet aircraft, arriving from Abuja, skidded off the runway and onto the grass verge upon landing.

With 52-3 passengers onboard, emergency personnel, swiftly conducted the evacuation with assistance from fire and rescue teams.

Currently, the runway remains closed to traffic pending further updates.

Meanwhile, the National Safety Investigation Bureau, NSIB, says, it has been notified of the incident and has deployed its team of investigators to the site.
