The Association of Corporate Affairs Managers of Banks (ACAMB) has officially rebranded as the Association of Corporate Communication and Marketing Professionals in Banks, retaining its familiar acronym.
The new identity was unveiled during ACAMB’s 2025 retreat held in Abeokuta, Ogun State, from November 6 to 9.
ACAMB, a non-profit organization aimed at fostering collaboration among corporate, marketing, and public relations managers in Nigeria’s banking sector, said the rebranding reflects a strategic expansion of its mandate.
“It symbolises embracing marketing, stakeholder engagement, sustainability, and reputation management, alongside corporate communication,” said ACAMB President Mr. Rasheed Bolarinwa.
Bolarinwa described the new identity as a formal recognition of ACAMB’s evolution into “a coalition of innovators and leaders who shape narratives, influence trust, and connect banking to the heartbeat of the Nigerian people.”
He emphasized that members are now “bridge-builders, storytellers, and reputation stewards” in the industry. To strengthen its relevance and institutional structure, ACAMB also inaugurated a Board of Trustees and ratified a revised constitution.
These reforms, according to Bolarinwa, signal the association’s maturity and readiness to meet the demands of the modern communications landscape.
Reflecting on the retreat, the ACAMB President stated it will be remembered not just as a gathering but “the rebirth of a stronger, bolder, and more visionary ACAMB — one that will continue to amplify brand resilience, advance inclusion, and shape a positive narrative for Nigeria’s banking sector and economy.”-
