Aviation Stakeholders Meet to Speak on Effects of Sunset Airports

Major stakeholders in the aviation industry are converging on Lagos this week to discuss the economy implications of sunsets airport in the country.

The event is the annual conference of the League of Airport and Aviation Correspondents (LAAC) will be held this Thursday, July 28, 2022.

Discussions will centre on solutions to the multiple challenges faced by stakeholders in terms of safety and economics as a result of operating sunset airports in Nigeria.

A statement by the Secretary, Conference Committee, LAAC, Mr. Albinus Chiedu says, the Minister of Aviation Senator Hadi Sirika will be the special guest of honour while the Chairman of Finchglow Holdings, Mr. Bankole Bernard would function as the Chairman of the occasion.

The National Assembly Committees Chairmen, Senator Smart Adeyemi, and Nnolim Nnaji, and other doyens of the nation’s aviation industry would attend the event.

Heads of Aviation Agencies, airline operators, aviation related stakeholders among others are to grace the event.

The event is expected to attract over 250 aviation industry professionals cutting across the aviation agencies, security agencies, international and domestic airlines operating in Nigeria, aviation support services, travel trade sellers and buyers and other stakeholders.
