The confirmation took place during plenary, which was presided over by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.
During the screening exercise, lawmakers engaged the nominees on their professional background, vision, and anticipated contributions to their respective agencies if confirmed.
Those confirmed include Mr. Kehinde Durosinmi-Etti as Chairman of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund; Mr. Alexander Akinwunmi as Chairman of the Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission; Mrs. Temitope George as Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Electricity Commission; Mr. Olopade Adekunle and Mr. Falola Olakunle as Executive Members of the Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission; and Mr. Bello Wasiu Oladimeji as a Non-Executive Member of the Commission.
However, the House stepped down the confirmation of Mrs. Adebisi Adelabu, nominee for the Lagos State Parking Authority, citing the need for further consideration.
The Assembly stated that the decision was taken in the interest of due diligence and effective governance, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring that only qualified and competent individuals occupy strategic public offices.
