Lagos to host third edition of Africa Gaming Expo, 11,000 Delegates to attend

Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu says Lagos is ready to host this year’s Africa Gaming Expo, AGE, with over eleven to twelve thousand delegates from across different continents from March 24 to 27, on Victoria Island.

At a news conference on Victoria Island, Governor Sanwo-olu, described the AGE Expo 2026 as the continent’s premier gaming lottery and emerging technology to create job opportunities for the teeming youths.

The Governor who spoke through the Chief Executive Officer, Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority, Mr Bashir Are, said the event aims to focus on driving investment and policy discussions as well as connect innovators, investors and regulators to shape the future of the Africa Gaming landscape.

“Lagos is pleased to host the 3rd edition of Africa Gaming Expo as part of our commitment to innovation, responsible regulation, and sustainable economic growth. AGE provides an important platform for collaboration between governments and industry stakeholders, helping Africa move confidently from frontier status to global prominence in regulated, technology-driven markets.”

According to him, this year’s AGE Expo is expected to attract thousands of delegates, including African and international regulators, financial-intelligence stakeholders, gaming operators, global suppliers, fintech innovators, and institutional investors.

“The 2026 edition is themed “Africa’s Gaming Market: Frontier to Prominence,” capturing Africa’s decisive transition from an emerging frontier to a structured, investable, and globally significant gaming market. The theme reflects growing regulatory maturity, technology adoption, cross-border collaboration, and the increasing role of gaming in revenue diversification and job creation across African economies”
