Ojodu LCDA has celebrated it’s Year 2023 Tree Planting Day, themed “Let’s Green Our City” which was marked by a commemorative Tree Planting event at the Adeniyi Jones Primary School, Ogba.
The event which was graced by Management and Staff of Ojodu LCDA as well as political, traditional leaders and community leaders of the community and environs who also partook in the Tree Planting Excercise.
Chairman Of Ojodu LCDA, Mr. Segun Odunmbaku who was represented by Mr. Lekan Peters said it is our collective responsibility to ensure that these trees are well cared for, as the Lagos State Government champions this cause annually.
“We as citizens should make tree planting a habit and also remember that the impact of our actions today will be felt for generations to come. I encourage everyone to continue to support initiatives that promote environmental conservation and sustainable development, not just for the benefit of our immediate communities but for the entire planet. Together, we can make a positive impact on our world and ensure a brighter future for all.”
“I implore you all to take cognizance of the relevance of environmental sustainability in ensuring more resilient communities, livable cities, healthier societies and renewable economies that would bequeath a better planet for us and future generations by planting trees for a greener earth.”
Highlight of the day was when the representative of the Chairman, Leader Of The House,Management, Baale Of Adeniyi Jones,Women Leader Of Ojodu APC and other notable dignitaries took turns to plant trees on the grounds of the Adeniyi Jones Primary School.
