Remo Stars are through to the final of the inaugural Naija Super Eight preseason football tournament at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena Onikan Lagos.
Goals by Dela Arkoli and Nduka Junior earned Remo a 2-1 win, today, over Lobi Stars of Markudi whose striker Joseph Atule reduced the deficit with a penalty strike deep into the second half to set up a tense finish.
Remo held on to pull through to Sunday’s final just as their star midfielder Qudus Akanni picked up the Most Valuable Player award for his sterling efforts in the game.
Akwa United and crowd pullers Sporting Lagos will collide in the second semifinal also today.
