Yuletide Travel: FAAN assures security, comfort, says bribes prohibited at airports


The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN),  says, it has heightened security arrangements at the airports and put necessary measures to ensure safety of air travelers.

The Agency in a statement by its spokesperson, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu says that, its facilities  and infrastructure at the airports have been upgraded to ensure maximum comfort for its myriads of passengers and other airport users that usually transit through the airports for the yuletide holidays.

She advised air travelers to strictly comply with all Covid-19 protocols to Nose-masking, observe Physical Distancing, to have their negative PCR test results as well as Vaccine requirements where applicable.

She adds that, passengers should get to the airports early to conclude all check in formalities in good time, so as to avoid the unpleasant experiences of missing their flights because of the heavy passenger traffic that is usually the norm around this time.

The Agency also reminded stakeholders and the general public that giving and taking of bribes are strictly prohibited at the airports, and measures have been put in place to arrest any erring official or individual.
